About Lucid Oceanside We're a PHP and IOP program for substance use and mental health treatment, located on PCH in Oceanside's harbor area, just a few minutes from the water. Our approach is trauma-focused and holistic. Beach days, movement, and time outside are part of the clinical week, not extras. We're also pet-friendly, so on any given day there may be a dog or two in the building. The space is calm, bright, and deliberately feels more like a boutique hotel than a clinic. Keeping it that way is what this job is about. The Role Picture the concierge at a really good hotel — the one who knows everyone's name, keeps the lobby immaculate, remembers how you take your coffee, and quietly makes the whole day run on time. Now give that person a back office to run, too. This is a behavioral health setting, not a traditional medical office. There's some light clinical work (vitals, appointment scheduling), but the heart of the job is hospitality, keeping the facility spotless, keeping clients moving through their day, and staying on top of HR and quality assurance paperwork.
Being candid about the mix:
cleaning and upkeep is the single largest piece of this job. If that's not something you take pride in, this isn't the right fit — but if you're the kind of person who can't walk past a crooked chair, keep reading. What You'll Do Hospitality and client experience Open the space each morning and set the tone for the day Run our coffee bar — lattes, espresso drinks, and keeping it stocked Keep snacks and drinks available throughout the day Set out and clean up lunch (we order from local Oceanside restaurants daily) Greet every client by name and make the space feel genuinely welcoming Help with client pets when needed — a walk or a feeding when someone's having a hard day Keeping the facility immaculate Continuous cleaning and tidying throughout the day — common areas, group rooms, kitchen, restrooms Reset group rooms between sessions Restock supplies and manage inventory Coordinate with vendors for deep cleaning, maintenance, and deliveries Client flow and connection Get clients to individual therapy and psychiatric appointments on time Warmly redirect clients who've stepped out of group and get them back in Coordinate transportation to and from client housing and confirm everyone gets where they need to be Build real rapport — you'll often be the first person a client talks to in the morning and the last one they see before they leave Light clinical support Schedule medical, psychiatric, and follow-up appointments Take and record vitals (we'll train you) Keep the front desk organized and the daily schedule accurate HR and administration Onboard new hires — offer paperwork, background checks, collecting credentials, scheduling orientation Maintain personnel files and keep them audit-ready: licenses, certifications, trainings, health screenings Track expiration dates and chase down renewals before they lapse Quality assurance Audit charts to confirm group notes are completed, on time, and by the right facilitator Track documentation gaps down to the specific missing hour — date, time, and who ran the group Follow up with clinical staff until the gaps are closed Keep audit trackers current and accurate Who Does Well Here Warm and unflappable. Clients are in a hard season of life. You meet that with steadiness and zero judgment. Genuinely tidy. Not "I clean when I have to" — you actually like an orderly space. Organized on paper, too. You can hold a hospitality role in one hand and a compliance checklist in the other without dropping either. Discreet. You'll be around sensitive information constantly. Confidentiality is non-negotiable. Self-directed. Nobody will hand you a to-do list every morning. You'll see what needs doing and do it. Coming from hospitality? A hotel front desk, a good restaurant, a spa, a private club — that experience translates directly, and we'll teach you the behavioral health side. You do not need a clinical license or a medical background.
