We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and likes to have fun at work. It is important that our team members enjoy working with people of all ages, because we see young ones, and those who are young at heart. The ideal candidate needs to love helping people enhance the quality of their lives with being able to educate patients on the right frames and lenses they will need. We are looking for someone who is very dependable, organized and conscientious. Our optician will also be responsible for the following: Working closely with the optometrist to make sure our patients are provided with the right vision correction. Maintaining the frame board Assisting patients with concerns they may have with their glasses Working closely with our labs Be able to check in the glasses and dispense them to our patients. Keeping up to speed on the latest technology for frames and lenses Adjusting glasses Ordering glasses Ordering contacts Keeping track of invoices and statements Keeping track of growth of the optical Other duties as related to the optical and front desk Qualified candidates will have at least three years experience working in an optometric office, excellent communication and computer skills; experience with ODLink or any other optometric software.
