This pivotal role combines healthcare management, team supervision, and administrative excellence to ensure smooth clinic functioning. As a Dental Office Manager, you will oversee patient care coordination, staff management, financial processes, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Your energetic leadership will foster a positive environment that promotes exceptional patient experiences and operational efficiency. Duties Manage all aspects of dental office operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize clinic productivity. Supervise administrative and clinical staff, providing guidance on medical office procedures, customer service standards, and team development. Oversee financial management tasks such as billing, coding, budgeting, and ensuring accurate medical billing practices in compliance with healthcare policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health regulation policies like HIPAA and OSHA to ensure clinic compliance and safeguard patient information. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental or Carestack for efficient patient records management and appointment scheduling. Coordinate with dental practitioners to support clinical workflows while managing human resources functions including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure adherence to medical terminology standards, medical records management protocols, and healthcare practice guidelines for optimal patient care. Qualifications Proven experience in dental office management or a similar healthcare administrative role with strong supervisory responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of medical office systems including Open Dental, Carestack, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated expertise in fiscal management, budgeting, medical billing, and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Strong understanding of dental clinic operations combined with acute care or hospital experience is highly desirable. Excellent managerial communication skills to lead teams effectively while maintaining high levels of customer service. Prior experience supervising healthcare staff and managing teams within a medical or dental practice setting. Familiarity with health regulation policies, managed care processes, utilization management, and medical administrative support functions.
