Essential Eyecare & Optical in Longwood, FL is looking for a motivated and experienced Optical Office Manager to lead our team and keep our practice running smoothly. Responsibilities:
Oversee daily front office operations including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination Manage optical dispensary operations including frame inventory, lens orders, and vendor relationships Train, supervise, assist, and support all staff in all roles to ensure exceptional patient experiences Handle insurance verification, billing, and claims processing for vision and medical plans Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies and procedures Resolve patient concerns and maintain high standards of customer service Monitor office performance metrics and assist with budgeting and reporting
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in optical office management or a senior optometric role Familiarity with optical dispensing, frame styling, and lens products preferred Experience with vision insurance plans (VSP, EyeMed, Medicaid) and medical billing Proficiency with optical or medical practice management software (e.g. Revolution EHR) Strong leadership and team-building skills with a positive, hands-on approach Excellent communication and organizational skills ABO certification or state licensure a plus
