Job Description

Store Manager About We Pay More Auto We Pay More Auto is growing—and we're looking for leaders who know how to build winning teams. We Pay More Auto is an established and expanding car-buying company specializing in purchasing cars, trucks, and SUVs directly from customers.
Our goal is simple:
provide an exceptional customer experience while purchasing as many quality vehicles as possible. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a driven Store Manager who can inspire people, raise performance, and take ownership of a location's success. If you're a strong leader with a history of developing teams, exceeding goals, and creating a high-performance culture, this could be your next opportunity. The Opportunity As Store Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day performance of your location and play a direct role in its success. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys coaching employees, driving sales performance, buying vehicles, solving problems, and creating an environment where both customers and team members have a great experience. You'll be responsible for developing your team, personally assisting with vehicle purchases, maximizing store buying opportunities, achieving performance goals, and ensuring the store consistently operates at a high level. Automotive experience is not required. We welcome successful leaders from retail, banking, hospitality, wireless, furniture, consumer sales, and other performance-driven industries. If you know how to lead people and deliver results, we can teach you the automotive side of the business. What You'll Do Actively buy cars, trucks, and SUVs from customers while identifying opportunities to maximize quality vehicle purchases. Evaluate customer vehicles, present purchase offers, negotiate when appropriate, and work to successfully acquire quality inventory. Lead, coach, and develop store associates to achieve individual and location performance goals. Drive vehicle purchasing and sales performance by motivating the team, reviewing results, and implementing effective action plans. Coach associates on vehicle evaluations, customer conversations, negotiations, and closing purchase opportunities. Create a positive, competitive, and accountable team culture focused on continuous improvement. Deliver an outstanding customer experience from the first interaction through the completion of every vehicle purchase. Recruit, onboard, train, and develop high-performing team members. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics, including vehicle purchase volume and conversion, and turn insights into measurable improvements. Ensure company processes, policies, vehicle evaluation standards, and sales procedures are followed consistently. Resolve customer concerns professionally and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain a professional, organized, efficient, and results-focused store environment. Partner with company leadership to execute initiatives that support growth and operational excellence. Lead from the front by setting the standard for professionalism, urgency, teamwork, accountability, and performance. What We're Looking For Previous management experience in retail, sales, hospitality, banking, wireless, furniture, automotive, or another performance-driven environment. A proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees. A track record of achieving or exceeding performance goals. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Experience using KPIs and performance metrics to identify opportunities and improve results. A customer-first mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional service. The ability to create accountability while maintaining a positive and motivating team culture. Automotive industry experience is a plus, but not required. Who Will Succeed Here You'll thrive in this role if you are competitive, energetic, accountable, and motivated by results. You enjoy developing people, buying vehicles, improving performance, solving problems, and taking ownership of your business. If you're ready to lead a team, personally contribute to vehicle purchases, make an impact, and grow with a company that is continuing to expand, we want to hear from you.
