Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the dental practice, including scheduling, billing, and patient records management using EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft. Coordinate treatment plans by communicating effectively with patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring understanding of financial options. Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing guidance on medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and customer service standards. Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, dental billing, and financial reporting to maintain practice profitability. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA policies, and state/federal health regulation policies. Facilitate human resources functions like staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and managing healthcare staff management protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. Support acute care and managed care processes by coordinating utilization management and ensuring adherence to healthcare practice management protocols. Skills Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare practice management with strong supervisory skills. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft; familiarity with Dental Office software like Microsoft Office Suite. Extensive knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and OSHA standards. Strong fiscal management capabilities including budgeting, financial analysis, and dental billing procedures. Excellent managerial communication skills to lead teams effectively while maintaining high levels of customer service. Ability to handle dental administrative support tasks such as managing dental records, ADA coding procedures, and patient management software. Experience in managing dental office staff across clinical and administrative roles within a dental or medical clinic environment. Critical care experience or acute care background is a plus for understanding complex patient needs.
