Spectrum Vision Center is a private, independent practice in Indian Harbour Beach. We are not a chain. There is no district manager, no planogram, and no corporate script. You will report directly to the owner. Right now our optical captures under 50 percent of the comprehensive exams that walk through our door. Our sister practice captures 66 percent. We intend to be at 65 percent here, and we are hiring the person who will get us there.

• What you will own
• You will run the optical end to end.

That means the board, the bench, the conversation and the numbers. You will hire, train and schedule your own opticians. You will decide what goes on the frame board and cut the brands that are not earning their space. You will own the handoff from the exam room and set how we present recommendations. You will approve discounts up to 15 percent on your own authority. You will know your capture rate, average sale, second pair rate and discount dollars without being asked, and you will change something because of what they tell you.

• What we will give you
• Real authority, in writing, on day one. Fifteen minutes a week with the owner looking at the same four numbers. Budget to build your bench. Your certification and continuing education paid.
• Compensation
• ase salary of $54,000, which is $26 an hour equivalent.

Quarterly bonuses on top, up to $14,000 a year: Up to $8,000 on capture rate, beginning at 55 percent and paid in full at 65 percent Up to $4,000 on holding discounts under 5 percent of optical sales Up to $2,000 on second pair rate above 15 percent $2,000 retention bonus at 12 months and again at 24 months Bonuses are calculated quarterly off numbers you will see every week. No surprises in either direction.

• Requirements
• Two or more years managing an optical, or managing a retail optical location You know what a capture rate is and you can tell us what yours was Working knowledge of vision plans and how benefits, allowances and upgrades actually work at the counter Comfortable selling premium lenses and progressives without leading on price Experience training and developing other opticians
• Preferred
• Florida optician license ABO certification Experience with Revolution EHR Experience in a private practice rather than only a chain
