Role Description Planet Vision EyeCare is seeking a Practice Manager who thrives in a customer facing environment, builds strong teams, and creates the structure that allows a practice to grow. This role is ideal for someone who loves developing people, improving processes, and driving results across all departments — front desk, optical sales, technicians, and providers. About the Role The Practice Manager oversees daily operations, leads and coaches staff, and ensures an exceptional patient experience. You will partner closely with the practice owner to strengthen systems, elevate team performance, and support long‑term growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership — Lead, coach, and develop a multi‑department team (front desk, optical sales, technicians). Accountability Systems — Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and follow‑through. Customer Service/Patient Escalation Management - Communicate warmly, resolve concerns independently, and maintain a calm, solutions‑focused approach. Culture Building — Foster a supportive, accountable, patient‑centered environment. Operational Management — Oversee scheduling, workflow efficiency, inventory processes, and daily practice operations. Process Improvement — Create and refine SOPs to ensure consistency and reduce friction. Practice Growth — Support marketing initiatives, patient retention strategies, and revenue‑building programs.
Optical Growth:
Improve capture rate, elevate product mix, and deliver a boutique‑level patient experience. Financial Awareness — Monitor KPIs, productivity, and departmental performance. Required Skills & Qualities Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold staff accountable Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills Experience managing teams in healthcare, retail, hospitality, or similar service‑driven environments Highly organized, structured, and process‑oriented Comfortable with metrics, reporting, and performance management Eagerness to learn the optometry field and contribute to practice growth Ability to multitask and maintain calm under pressure Professional, warm, and patient‑focused demeanor Preferred Experiences (but not required) Experience in medical office management Familiarity with optical sales, medical billing, or EHR systems Background in training or staff development Compensation Compensation for this role is $30-$35 per hour , reflecting strong leadership and operational responsibility.
