Julia Barriga MD PA is seeking a full-time Personnel Supervisor to supervise and coordinate day-to-day personnel operations within approved procedures. This is a hands-on position for an experienced healthcare or medical-office supervisor who can earn trust, communicate clearly, and hold people accountable with fairness and emotional maturity. The role reports directly to Giuliana Grande, Administrator and co-owner. You will coordinate staff supervision, recruiting and onboarding, attendance and scheduling oversight, training and employee development, employee relations, workplace conduct, and performance follow-up. Success in this role means employees understand their responsibilities, written systems are used consistently, concerns are handled promptly and professionally, and practice leadership has dependable information to support good decisions and continued growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide day-to-day supervision, direction, follow-up, and accountability for assigned staff, including attendance, schedules, coverage, and overtime within approved practice procedures. Coordinate the recruiting workflow, including Indeed activity, resume review, interview scheduling, candidate records, and communication with practice leadership. Guide new hires through onboarding and ensure required employment documents, personnel records, role materials, and initial training are complete and organized. Maintain current job descriptions, reporting lines, authorized policies, procedures, training materials, acknowledgments, and competency records. Coordinate comprehension checks, practical demonstrations, retraining, and follow-up so employees can apply what they have learned in daily work. Support structured performance reviews using self-evaluations, role-specific measures, documented feedback, and clear follow-up; investigate sustained declines and coordinate fair coaching or improvement plans. Listen to employee concerns, establish the facts, address conduct or performance issues calmly and privately, document actions, and escalate serious or repeated matters within assigned authority. Protect confidential personnel information and maintain accurate, timely records for people-related decisions.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING A

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least 3 years of healthcare or medical-office experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Demonstrated experience supervising employees and addressing attendance, scheduling, training, conduct, or performance concerns. Advanced computer skills, clear written and verbal communication, accurate documentation, professional confidentiality, and consistent follow-through.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
An associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, or a related field. Five or more years of healthcare or medical-office experience and two or more years of direct supervisory or leadership experience. Experience with medical-practice recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, policy training, competency verification, or performance measures.
TRAINING AND GROWTH
The practice provides one month of role-specific training in approved procedures, personnel workflows, reporting relationships, systems, and performance measures.
SCHEDULE AND WORK SETTING
This is one full-time, in-person position in a pediatric medical practice in Tampa, Florida. Working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
