Job Description
Palouse View Dental is a well-established, growing general dentistry practice serving Moscow, ID and the surrounding Palouse area. We're a patient-first team that believes exceptional care starts with a well-run, positive workplace. We are looking for an experienced, organized leader to run the business side of the practice so our doctor and clinical team can stay focused on patient care. Position Overview This is a hands-on leadership role covering the day-to-day business operations of the practice — you'll be the person who keeps the practice running smoothly behind the scenes, resolves the dozens of small operational questions that come up every day, and gives the doctor room to focus on dentistry rather than administration. It's ideal for someone who is highly organized, follows through without being reminded, and is comfortable owning a wide range of responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Team & Daily Operations Lead the daily morning huddle to keep the team aligned on office goals. Build agendas for and run team meetings, following up to ensure action items are completed. Support execution of broader business initiatives as they arise. Ensure the life cycle of a patient is performed at an optimal level. HR & Compliance Manage timesheets and PTO requests for the team. Assist in training and performance improvement. Assist in hiring and firing personnel decisions. Maintain annual licensing and professional compliance requirements to keep the practice in good standing. Financial & Administrative Management Audit the schedule regularly for accuracy and efficiency. Track practice KPIs — production, collections, and understanding the full RCM process. Practice Operations & Facilities Coordinate IT troubleshooting when needed. Handle facility troubleshooting and maintenance. Patient & Practice Support Field patient questions and concerns. Serve as the practice's go-to person for day-to-day operational questions. Qualifications 3+ years of experience working in a dental practice in a leadership position. Comfortable owning payroll, compliance, and vendor management independently. Strong organizational skills and follow-through. Confident handling patient concerns with professionalism and empathy. Proficiency with practice management software (Dentrix experience a plus). Technically savvy. A proactive, ownership mindset — you see what needs to happen and make it happen. What We Offer A growing, well-established practice with real room to build and lead the business side — not just maintain it. Direct partnership with the practice owner. Supportive, team-oriented culture. This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you may be expected to take on additional tasks as the role and the needs of the practice evolve. To apply, please submit your resume and a brief note on your experience managing the business side of a dental or medical practice.
