Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Manager for our dental office to oversee daily operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical office management, healthcare practice management, and team supervision. This role involves managing administrative functions, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations to promote a smooth and efficient practice. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of administrative and clinical staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Oversee fiscal management tasks including budgeting, financial reporting, and medical billing processes to maintain financial health. Manage patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support medical administrative functions including appointment scheduling, patient management software utilization, and medical records maintenance. Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including JCAHO standards, HIPAA policies, and local health regulation policies. Assist in human resources functions such as staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution. Monitor clinic operations to optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining high standards of customer service and patient satisfaction. Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate acute care and managed care services within the practice. Implement practice management strategies that improve operational efficiency and enhance patient experiences. Experience Proven experience in medical office management within a dental or healthcare setting. Supervising experience with demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment. Extensive knowledge of healthcare management systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential. Strong understanding of medical billing, coding procedures, and financial management within healthcare practices. Familiarity with health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO accreditation standards. Prior experience managing medical records, electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and patient management software is required. Background in dental clinic operations or healthcare practice management with acute or critical care experience is advantageous.
