Job Description

Lancaster Dental's long time Office Manager is retiring and we are seeking a highly capable and enthusiastic replacement with a minimum of 5 years DENTAL experience for our beautiful, state of the art, and well-established dental practice in Lancaster, MA. Our entire team is dedicated to providing patients with the personal attention and high quality care that they deserve. You will be a playing a key role in continuing the success of our practice. We are looking for someone who is detailed orientated and can stay organized while multitasking. While your primary job is to ensure that the practice thrives financially, you will also be the person managing relationships between the dentist, the rest of the staff, our vendors and other medical practices in the building. Your talent in these areas allow our dentist, assistant, and hygienists to focus on production and patient satisfaction, ensuring the success of the practice. This full-time position offers competitive salary and benefits including paid vacations, holidays, sick leave, retirement plan and dental benefits. Responsibilities and Requirements:
Professionalism in appearance, behavior, patient interaction and excellent communication skills 5+ years experience as Dental Office Manager Full understanding of in-network benefits verses out-of-network benefits and how to process secondary claims Responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable Able to explain dental benefits to patients in a clear and concise manner Ability to multi-task efficiently between patient needs, insurance companies, and office staff Understands how to appeal claims and is willing to go the extra mile for our patients Punctual, reliable, and a team player Experience with Dentrix or other dental practice software Understands dental office financial management including billing, collections, and expense control. Able to reconfigure coinsurance due at time of service if treatment changes during patient's appointment Experience working with insurance companies including Medicare plans, creating pre-treatment estimates for patients and monitoring patient payment plans Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, OSHA, licensing, and inspections Able to verify patient's dental benefits and update when needed Works with other medical practices in building to help manage the vendors needed (snow removal, landscaping, AC maintenance, ect.) for the smooth running of building.
