The Regional Practice Manager is responsible for driving operational performance across a portfolio of clinics within the Ann Arbor and Chelsea, Michigan region. This leader oversees, develops and builds scalable and consistent operating processes, and serves as a strategic partner to Medical Directors and senior leadership. Partnering closely with the Senior Director of Operations, Medical Director, and centralized support teams, the Regional Practice Manager translates regional strategy into effective day-to-day operations. This includes developing clinic leaders, optimizing workflows, standardizing best practices, and driving operational excellence while maintaining the flexibility needed to support the unique needs of each clinic. This role requires a leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership, creating consistency across the region while keeping teams engaged and supported through growth, change, and complexity. The Regional Practice Manager will use data and operational insights to identify opportunities, improve performance, and build scalable processes that support continued growth and exceptional pediatric care. The ideal candidate is an experienced multi-site healthcare operator who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, develops high-performing leaders, uses data to drive decision-making, and builds strong partnerships with providers and cross-functional teams to deliver strong results across the region.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Operational Management & Clinic Execution Own operational performance across a portfolio of clinics, ensuring consistent execution and alignment with organizational standards. Develop and maintain regional operating standards, balancing consistency with appropriate site-level flexibility. Identify operational gaps and implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency, access, and clinic performance. Build the operational infrastructure to support new clinic openings, acquisitions, integrations, and service line expansion. Partner with clinic leaders to address staffing, scheduling, capacity, and workflow needs across the region. Team Leadership, Coaching & Operations Drive succession planning and develop a strong pipeline of future clinic leaders. Partner with People/HR on workforce planning, performance management, and complex employee relations matters. Build a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the region. Provider Relationship Management Serve as a strategic operational partner to Medical Directors, providers, and senior operations leadership. Build trusted provider relationships and proactively address opportunities impacting provider experience and performance. Balance provider capacity, patient demand, scheduling, and growth across the regional portfolio. Patient Experience Use patient experience and access data to establish regional priorities and drive measurable improvement. Improve patient access, appointment availability, scheduling efficiency, and continuity of care across clinics. Lead service recovery for complex or escalated patient situations and identify opportunities for systemic improvement. Communication & Culture Lead regional communication and change management, creating alignment across the portfolio of clinics. Build a cohesive regional culture while maintaining the unique strengths of individual practices. Serve as a connection between clinic teams and senior leadership, elevating front-line insights, risks, and opportunities. KPI Ownership & Financial Management Own regional performance across key operational and financial KPIs, including productivity, access, utilization, no-shows, labor, patient satisfaction, and financial performance. Lead regular business reviews, identifying performance gaps and holding clinic leaders accountable for action plans and results. Drive revenue growth and operational efficiency while building financial literacy

WHAT YOU NEED

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive healthcare operations experience, preferably in pediatric, urgent care, primary care, or multi-site outpatient settings. 3+ years leading multiple clinic locations and developing leaders, including Practice Managers or equivalent operational leadership roles. Demonstrated success leading regional operations with accountability for staffing, operational performance, financial outcomes, patient experience, and quality metrics. Experience partnering with physicians, Medical Directors, and Advanced Practice Providers to improve operational performance. Strong business acumen with experience analyzing KPIs, labor productivity, patient access, revenue cycle, and operational performance. Proven ability to lead through change, influence without direct authority, and build collaborative partnerships across a matrixed organization. Experience supporting acquisitions, new clinic openings, integrations, or organizational growth initiatives preferred. Proficiency with EMR and practice management systems; athenahealth experience preferred. Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.
