Job Description
Job Summary Directs the activities of team members within assigned area and ensures the delivery of optimal patient flow and patient satisfaction. Trains team members and serves as a liaison between providers, team members and practice manager in daily operations. Supports charge capture processing, standard work, process improvement and practice staffing. Manages team members performance and development and ensures policy adherence. Essential Functions Oversees patient flow while adhering to standard work, prepares work schedules, charge capture and identifies opportunities for process improvement. Provides written and oral instructions. Facilitates a positive work environment which supports team member engagement and encourages professional growth. Guides, mentors, motivates, acts as resource and support to team, encouraging continual growth as a professional and self-directed learning. Responsible for monitoring day to day operations including staffing levels, workflows and patient experience. Arranges coverage for sick call-ins, vacations, leaves, other time off. Notifies Practice Manager of any staffing shortages and/or needs. Assumes a leadership/training role and delegates appropriately to support team members to facilitate safe, quality patient care in a cost effective manner. Reviews and monitors operational reporting tools and monthly expenses and elevates opportunities. Approves invoices as directed. Responsible for HR functions including but not limited to interviewing, performance reviews and coaching. Provides input into the development, implementation and evaluation of unit/department/division/service/goals and prioritizes them so that they are consistent with patient care/administration needs. Acts as a patient advocate and provides ongoing communication with patient, team and multidisciplinary team regarding patient, team, management of safety and quality issues. Qualifications Associate's Degree or equivalent in business, management or other related area
- Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, management or other related areas
- Preferred 2 years of relevant experience of recent relevant supervisor experience in health care/medical practice or related work
- Required 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare leadership, or relevant leadership experience informal or formal
