Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Office Administrator, where your expertise will drive the smooth operation of our dental practice. This vital role combines administrative excellence with healthcare management, ensuring that patient care, staff coordination, and office functions are seamlessly integrated. You will be the backbone of our clinic's daily activities, fostering an environment of efficiency, compliance, and exceptional patient service. Your leadership and organizational skills will help us deliver top-tier dental care while maintaining adherence to healthcare regulations and best practices. Responsibilities Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize productivity and patient satisfaction Manage medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance on medical administrative support, human resources functions, and office management tasks Handle financial management duties including billing, coding, budgeting, and medical billing processes to ensure revenue integrity Maintain compliance with healthcare policies, JCAHO standards, HIPAA regulations, and other health regulation policies through ongoing staff training and process audits Coordinate with healthcare providers for acute care and hospital experience documentation when necessary Utilize patient management software and EMR/EHR systems to streamline patient intake, appointment scheduling, and record keeping Skills Proven experience in medical office management within a dental or healthcare setting with strong familiarity with practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Demonstrated supervisory skills managing healthcare teams and leading office staff effectively Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and medical billing procedures In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) Excellent managerial communication skills paired with customer service orientation to foster positive patient interactions and team collaboration Experience with managed care processes, utilization management, and healthcare practice management strategies Ability to adapt quickly to new EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Hospital experience environments while maintaining high standards of accuracy Join us in shaping a well-organized dental practice where your leadership makes a difference! $25.04 - $35.00 per hour
