JOB SUMMARY
The Business Office Float is responsible for covering any aspect of the business office as necessary.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Answering phones
  • Patient Billing, Posting Payments, Collections
  • Chart preparation
  • Filing
  • Insurance Verification
  • Medical Records
  • Patient Registration
  • Scheduling
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years Medical Office experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of computers with experience in windows-based systems and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with medical practice billing software necessary
  • Team player, Ability to communicate effectively with center management, center staff, patients, their families, the physicians and their staff
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language
  • Detail oriented; Ability to handle frequent interruptions that result in having to re-evaluate priorities
  • Proficient in medical terminology
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal busy office environment with much telephone work.
