Job Description
The department of Transportation and Public Works is seeking an Office Supervisor to o versee and coordinate the work activities of defined work units in the areas of administrative support, fiscal, clerical and/or general office. The typical starting salary range will be $22.03 - $26.44 hourly depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience as well as budgetary considerations. Essential Function Examples Prioritize workloads, schedule work, coordinate work functions, assess workflow and monitor final work product for compliance with policies and procedures. Train and evaluate the work performance of subordinate staff. Develop performance expectations and objectives. Handle employee's performance issues and resolve conflicts. Recommend and implement work procedures and methods. Compile required and special reports on operating functions. Marginal Function Examples Interview, select and assist in hiring new employees. Conduct staff meetings of subordinate personnel. May have independent work assigned not associated with subordinates' work. Perform assigned duties during mandatory snow shift. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Equivalent to five years of experience in a general office environment. Candidates should possess high levels of proficiency within Microsoft Office Applications.
