Summary:
The VVH Manager reports to the General Manager of Medical Operations with oversight by the Medical Director and Operations Director. The VVH Manager shall be responsible for the overall supervision of the VVH medical support team to ensure humane, compassionate, professional, efficient, and fiscally responsible delivery of services. The VVH Manager, in conjunction with the VVH Assistant Manager, GM of Medical Operations and Medical Director, will work to maintain harmonious relations between the VVH and other departments of the Monmouth County SPCA.
Responsibilities:
Oversight of the day-to-day operations of the VVH as well as the following personnel management, client management, patient management, operations management, and administrative functions:
- Assumes responsibility and authority for the veterinary hospital team
- Works with hospital leadership and other departmental leaders to plan, organize, and facilitate MCSPCA initiatives
- Perform the duties of a leader, manager, veterinary technician, and client service representative in a fluid manner;

- Hire, train, develop, and mentor staff to provide veterinary care and client service
- Set staff goals and provide performance feedback regularly
- Provide coaching, mediation, and disciplinary action as warranted
- Foster teamwork and cooperation
- Disseminate information effectively and assist in conducting regular team meetings to keep staff informed and empowered
- Engage staff in ideas, programs, and initiatives that support the MCSPCA
- Treat all clients with respect and care and foster this sentiment among the team
- Seek client feedback and address client complaints
- Assist in the management of clinic accounts receivable
- Work with the clinic medical leadership team to create and implement protocols and systems that support quality care
- Work with the clinic medical leadership team to ensure all patients are cared for with compassion and competence
- Create accountability among the team to ensure safety in all aspects of patient care
- Oversee and seek to continuously improve the financial health of the veterinary clinic including payroll management, purchasing supplies, auditing transactions, and reviewing financial data
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain organization and cleanliness within the facility
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing efforts
- Address any personnel, client, patient, or facilities issues as they arise and serve as a "go to" for problem solving
- Assist in holding monthly meetings for information sharing, including contributing to meeting content and recaps
- Assist in creating a monthly technician work schedule
- Assist in entering the veterinarians' schedule in CS
- Collaborate with CSR Manager and CSRs to ensure positive client experiences
- Support Inventory Manager including ordering/receiving/consumption/coding
- Support Controlled Substance Logger in CDS log management/reconciliation
- Conduct quarterly and biennial CDS reconciliation
- Assist the hospital leadership team in creation and design workflows/procedures to maintain organization and efficiency in the clinic, including SOPs
- Serve as a liaison with vendors to schedule education seminars
- Providing training and coaching for the technician team

- Able to convey a clear and strong vision of the MCSPCA's strategic future to staff and volunteers
- Three to five years of leadership experience in the veterinary or animal welfare setting
- Five to seven years of veterinary technician experience
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
