Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Practice Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a busy healthcare practice. This role is essential in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care while maintaining efficient administrative and financial workflows. The Practice Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing practice finances, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimizing clinic performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in medical office management, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems and policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the quality of care and operational excellence within a thriving healthcare environment. Duties Oversee daily clinic operations, including patient flow, staff scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure smooth functioning. Supervise healthcare staff such as nurses, administrative support personnel, and clinical assistants, fostering a collaborative team environment. Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, medical billing, and coding accuracy using EMR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ensure compliance with health regulation policies such as
HIPAA, JCAHO
standards, and managed care requirements by implementing appropriate procedures. Coordinate medical administrative support tasks including medical records management, patient management software utilization, and electronic health records (EHR) system oversight. Monitor clinic performance metrics to improve patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and staff productivity. Lead human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and managing employee relations within the practice. Maintain strong communication with healthcare providers to facilitate effective utilization management and acute care processes. Implement best practices in medical office management to enhance patient care delivery while controlling costs. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice management with a strong background in dental or clinical settings. Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is essential. Knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO standards. Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial reporting, and medical billing expertise. Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with customer service orientation. Experience with office management tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Acute care or critical care experience is highly desirable along with dental clinic experience for specialized roles. Ability to navigate managed care environments and utilization management processes efficiently. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records handling to ensure accurate documentation practices.
