Los Alamos Medical Center seeks a Physician Practices Billing Manager to lead day-to-day billing operations for our physician clinics. This role oversees charge capture, claims submission, payment posting, and denial management to ensure accurate, timely reimbursement. The manager will supervise billing staff, monitor KPIs, and implement process improvements while maintaining compliance with payer rules and healthcare regulations. Partnering closely with providers, practice managers, and revenue cycle leadership, this position supports high-quality patient care by ensuring clear financial processes and a positive billing experience for our community. Responsibilities Oversee daily physician practice billing operations, including charge capture, claims submission, and payment posting Manage denial follow-up and appeals to optimize collections and reduce accounts receivable days Supervise, train, and evaluate billing staff, promoting accuracy, accountability, and teamwork Monitor key revenue cycle metrics and prepare regular performance reports for leadership Ensure compliance with coding standards, payer guidelines, and healthcare billing regulations Collaborate with providers and practice managers to resolve billing issues and improve workflows Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies and reimbursement changes impacting physician practices Support patient billing inquiries and promote a clear, patient-friendly financial experience Coordinate with finance and revenue cycle leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and policy updates Required Skills Medical billing Physician practice revenue cycle
