Job Summary - Practice Manager (General Medical Practice) The Practice Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, and oversight of physician practice operations. The position directs daily administrative and clinical support functions, manages staff and resources, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports financial and operational performance. The Practice Manager works collaboratively with providers and organizational leadership to promote quality patient care, operational excellence, workforce engagement, and organizational success while supporting the mission and values of Ellis Medicine. Oversite of Cardiology West locations (Amsterdam and Gloversville) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Practice Operations Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned physician practices. Develop and maintain systems that support efficient clinical and administrative workflows. Monitor patient access, provider productivity, appointment utilization, and operational performance. Ensure effective coordination of patient care and support services. Identify opportunities for operational improvement and implement best practices. Staff Management Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and supervise clinical and administrative staff. Manage employee performance, engagement, and professional development. Conduct performance reviews and address performance concerns. Promote a collaborative, respectful, and customer-focused workplace culture. Ensure appropriate staffing levels and scheduling coverage. Financial Management Assist with budget preparation and fiscal management. Monitor practice productivity, expenses, and operational performance metrics. Support revenue cycle activities including registration, charge capture, coding, billing, and collections. Utilize performance data to identify opportunities for financial and operational improvement. Ensure responsible use of organizational resources. Compliance and Quality Provider and Patient Support Qualifications Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in a healthcare or physician practice setting required. Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Demonstrated commitment to customer service, teamwork, and professional excellence. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with providers, staff, and leadership. Must be able to travel between locations as needed Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and perform routine office activities. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Salary Range:

$29.44-$44.16/hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
