Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical office management, dental office administration, and healthcare practice oversight. As the Dental Office Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations, supervising staff, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional patient service. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a professional, compliant, and patient-centered environment that supports the growth and success of our practice. Duties Manage all aspects of clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to optimize efficiency. Supervise dental and administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service delivery. Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, billing, coding, and collection processes to maintain fiscal health. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA privacy rules, JCAHO standards, and state/federal health policies. Utilize electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix to manage patient records accurately and securely. Coordinate with clinical teams to support medical administrative support functions and ensure smooth clinic operations. Implement quality assurance protocols for medical records management, billing accuracy, and regulatory adherence. Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes excellent customer service and effective communication with patients and staff. Skills Extensive experience in medical office management within a dental or healthcare setting. Proficiency with EHR systems such as Dentrix; strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems integration. Demonstrated expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures. Proven supervisory skills with experience managing healthcare staff across multiple disciplines. Strong understanding of healthcare compliance standards including
HIPAA, JCAHO
accreditation requirements, and health regulation policies. Excellent managerial communication skills to facilitate team coordination and patient relations. Familiarity with dental office procedures, medical terminology, medical billing practices, and managed care processes. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, scheduling, and administrative documentation purposes. Knowledge of acute care experience or critical care environments is advantageous for comprehensive practice oversight.
