Northwell Health is seeking a full-time Chief of Vascular Surgery at Peconic Bay Medical Center. Previous leadership experience is preferred. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and grow a Vascular Surgery service line serving Long Island's North Fork community. The qualified candidate will oversee a collaborative environment with experienced surgical colleagues and advanced practice providers. Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Provide leadership and oversight for the Vascular Surgery division, including clinical operations, staffing, and program development Maintain an active clinical practice, including open and endovascular procedures Develop engagement, alignment, and collaboration with referring physicians and other clinical departments across the health system Lead initiatives focused on quality, patient safety, operational excellence, and program development Advance departmental growth through strategic planning, recruitment, and service line expansion Partner with hospital and system leadership on administrative, financial, and operational priorities Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, diversity, and physician engagement Candidate Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Board Certification in Vascular Surgery Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of New York Demonstrated leadership experience within an academic or clinically integrated health system environment A proven track record of clinical excellence, physician engagement, and program growth Experience in both open and minimally invasive/endovascular techniques About Peconic Bay Medical Center Peconic Bay Medical Center is a 125-bed acute care hospital located in Riverhead, NY, serving the North Fork and surrounding communities of eastern Long Island.
