Job Description

Southeastern Rheumatology Alliance is seeking a Practice Manager for our Gainesville locations. The Practice Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations and supporting the physicians and company executives to execute the goals and objectives of the practice. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, optimizing patient satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Practice Manager leads administrative staff, clinical staff, manages budgets, and implements policies that support the practice's goals and financial health. By fostering a collaborative environment, the manager ensures that both clinical and non-clinical teams work seamlessly to deliver high-quality services. Ultimately, this role drives operational excellence and supports the long-term success and reputation of the practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in practice management or healthcare administration. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing procedures, and compliance standards. Proven leadership and team management experience. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software. Certification such as Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or equivalent. Background in financial management and strategic planning within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and patient satisfaction initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the practice, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation. Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, billing, and financial reporting to ensure profitability. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and internal policies. Lead, train, and evaluate administrative and support staff to maintain high performance and morale. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient or client experience and operational efficiency. Coordinate communication between clinical staff, patients, and external vendors or partners. Monitor key performance indicators and prepare reports for senior leadership to inform decision-making. Handle conflict resolution and address any operational issues promptly to minimize disruption.

Additionally, interpersonal skills foster a positive work environment and improve patient or client interactions, contributing to overall practice success. The Practice locations have a 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday) however this position will also require some work on Fridays.
