SCHEDULE
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or later if required to complete all daily activities)
  • On occasion some evening and weekend work may be required
OVERVIEW
The primary function of the practice manager is to facilitate the smooth operation of the office by managing the staff and the daily business operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Represent the practice in a professional manner at all times
  • Be aligned with the office's philosophy on vaccines, use of medications and the overall quality of care
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Liaison between CPF, representatives, and insurance companies
  • Be responsible for the employee recruitment, hiring, and termination process
  • Be responsible for the employee performance review process
  • Be responsible for the bi-monthly payroll process
  • Be responsible for managing the employee benefits, staff incentives, and morale boosters
  • Be familiar with all other job descriptions and fill in as required
  • Manage the employee schedules and ensure that they complete their jobs efficiently
  • Manage and address patient complaints
  • Maintain a general knowledge of insurance requirements
  • Manage licenses, certifications, hospital credentialing, and continuing education
  • Be responsible for the malpractice insurance for the providers
  • Monitor and manage tasks assigned to the Practice Manager's inbox in Athena
  • Responsible for coordinating facility cleaning, maintenance and repair
  • Manage office and equipment certifications
  • Make weekly reports to Owner/MD and Practice Administrator on the status of the assigned functions
  • Maintain HIPPA and OSHA compliance at all times
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Support the marketing and advertising efforts
  • Generate reports as required
REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent team building, team management, communication, computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • No educational requirements
  • At least two years of experience as a practice manager in a medical environment
PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Spanish speaking
