This role oversees all business office operations, including resident admissions paperwork, billing, Medicare/Medicaid and insurance claims, accounts receivable, collections, and resident trust accounts. The manager ensures regulatory compliance, accurate financial records, and timely reporting while leading and training office staff. Partnering closely with clinical and leadership teams, this position supports a culture of servant leadership, integrity, and compassionate, person-centered care for residents and families. Responsibilities Oversee daily business office operations for the skilled nursing community Manage resident admissions paperwork, financial agreements, and related documentation Coordinate and process Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing and collections Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, resident trust, and cash handling Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations and facility policies Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and routine reports Supervise, train, and schedule business office staff Collaborate with nursing and leadership teams to support resident-centered care Communicate with residents and families regarding statements, benefits, and payment plans Support audits, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives related to business office functions Required Skills Healthcare billing and collections Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement Skilled nursing regulatory compliance Accounts receivable management Budgeting and financial reporting EMR and billing software proficiency Staff supervision and scheduling Resident trust and financial management Customer service and family communication Records and documentation management
