Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dental Office Manager to lead our dental practice with enthusiasm and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and deliver exceptional patient service. Duties Oversee all aspects of dental office operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to ensure efficiency and high-quality service Manage financial functions such as budgeting, billing, coding, collections, and fiscal management to maintain practice profitability Supervise staff including dental assistants, hygienists, administrative personnel, and other team members; provide coaching and performance evaluations Ensure compliance with health regulation policies such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), and other relevant standards Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software for patient records management and billing processes Coordinate medical administrative support functions including appointment scheduling, patient management software, medical records handling, and EHR (Electronic Health Records) system oversight Maintain knowledge of healthcare practice management best practices including managed care policies, utilization management, medical billing procedures, and healthcare regulation policies Foster excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns promptly and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out Lead human resources functions such as hiring, onboarding, training staff on medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and employee development Qualifications Proven experience managing a dental or healthcare office with supervisory responsibilities in a busy clinical environment Strong knowledge of Dentrix, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential Demonstrated fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial reporting, billing practices, and cost control strategies Extensive understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA compliance policies and health regulation standards Prior experience with medical billing processes and insurance claim submissions within a dental or medical setting Excellent managerial communication skills for team leadership and stakeholder engagement Ability to handle complex scheduling while maintaining exceptional customer service standards Knowledge of dental clinic operations combined with acute care or critical care experience is highly desirable Familiarity with managed care policies, utilization management processes, and healthcare practice management best practices Join us to lead our dental practice into a future of excellence!
