Monday-Thursday Compensation:

$30

•45/hour, depending on experience Crown Hill Smiles is seeking an experienced, positive, and highly organized Dental Office Manager / Practice Manager to help lead our team and oversee the day-to-day success of our practice. This is a hands-on, patient-facing leadership position . You will lead front-office and business operations while working collaboratively alongside another front-office team member and closely with our doctors, hygienists, and dental assistants. We believe great leadership means being part of the team—not simply managing it. On any given day, you may be greeting patients, answering phones, helping with insurance, solving scheduling issues, coaching a team member, reviewing accounts receivable, or working with the doctors on practice goals. Four-day workweek with long weekends every week Quality-over-volume approach with a strong focus on patient care 5 operatories, 2 doctors, 2 hygienists, and 2 dental assistants Support from another front-office team member Medical insurance with 70% of the employee premium paid by the employer 401(k) with 4% employer match Profit-sharing plan Dental benefits Paid vacation/PTO and paid holidays Free parking within one block of the office Team events, continuing education, happy hours, and holiday parties Meaningful leadership role with the ability to directly influence the success and culture of the practice Key Responsibilities Greet, check in, and check out patients Answer phones, emails, and patient messages Schedule and confirm appointments Maintain an efficient and productive doctor and hygiene schedule Help patients understand treatment, insurance benefits, and financial arrangements Collect and post payments Coordinate insurance verification, claims, and benefit questions Manage recall and continuing-care scheduling Help resolve patient concerns professionally and compassionately Provide front-office coverage wherever needed Practice Operations & Leadership Oversee daily office operations and workflows Optimize doctor and hygiene schedules Develop and maintain effective office systems, protocols, and scheduling templates Coordinate communication between doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members Lead morning huddles and team meetings Provide clear expectations, feedback, coaching, and accountability Help create a positive culture based on teamwork, professionalism, and shared purpose Identify operational problems and develop practical solutions Maintain HIPAA policies and support regulatory compliance Coordinate vendors and outside service providers Financial & Business Management Monitor production, collections, accounts receivable, scheduling effectiveness, and other key practice indicators Maintain AR within established practice targets Support insurance, billing, collections, and outstanding patient balances Review practice reports and financial performance Work with the doctors to establish goals and translate them into actionable priorities Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability without compromising patient care Assist with purchasing, budgeting, payroll coordination, and expense management as appropriate Team & HR Support Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training Help coordinate employee schedules, time-off requests, and staffing coverage Assist with employee evaluations and performance discussions Support employee development, retention, and accountability What We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Have significant dental administrative experience, ideally including management or leadership Are comfortable being both a manager and an active member of the front-office team Enjoy interacting with patients and providing excellent customer service Understand dental scheduling, insurance, coding, billing, collections, and treatment coordination Have experience supervising, coaching, or developing employees Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, team members, and outside partners Are comfortable having difficult conversations when necessary Can manage multiple priorities while staying organized and responsive Understand basic dental practice KPIs, production, collections, and accounts receivable Take initiative and follow through without needing constant direction Can identify problems and turn them into clear plans of action Maintain high standards while creating a positive and supportive work environment Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of dental administrative experience Previous experience as a dental office manager, practice manager, treatment coordinator, or senior front-office team member Experience supervising and coaching employees Strong knowledge of dental insurance, billing, accounts receivable, and collections Experience monitoring practice KPIs and financial performance Strong computer and technology skills We use Oryx Dental Software, DentalXchange, SwipeSimple, online insurance portals, and digital administrative and clinical workflows.
