This position is the first point of contact for many of our patients and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and positive experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, enjoys working with people, and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced dental office. While this role is primarily scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays , flexibility is required to provide coverage and support for other team members as needed. Responsibilities Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service from check-in through check-out. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and appointment requests. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments to maximize office efficiency. Present and explain recommended treatment plans and answer basic financial questions. Collect patient payments and accurately process transactions. Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility prior to patient appointments. Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information. Communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and team members. Assist with daily administrative tasks to support the clinical team and overall office operations. Provide coverage and administrative support for additional team members when needed. Qualifications Previous dental or medical front office experience preferred. Experience with Open Dental practice management software preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Comfortable discussing treatment plans, insurance benefits, and financial arrangements with patients. Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Proficient with computers and office software. Reliable, dependable, and adaptable to changing office needs. A team player who enjoys creating a positive experience for patients and coworkers alike.
