Your expertise will support efficient revenue cycle management, streamline insurance claim processing, and uphold the integrity of patient information. Responsibilities Accurately review, organize, and maintain medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic medical record (EMR) platforms, ensuring all documentation aligns with medical coding guidelines. Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and medical coding regulations during record entry and updates. Support revenue cycle management by reviewing medical records for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to coding protocols related to health insurance claim processing. Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits or reviews related to medical records, billing, or coding accuracy. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Experience Prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and billing software is essential for success in this role. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding guidelines (including
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
), and insurance third-party billing processes is required. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to interpret complex medical data are critical for maintaining accurate records. File records in a timely method for clinical staff and support Pull records when requested by staff and court subpuenas.
Pay:
