We are seeking a Digital Scanning Clerk to assist with the organization and digitization of medical records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable working with computers, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Obtain and organize hardcopy medical records in preparation for digitizing Prepare documents for scanning and ensure records are organized appropriately Scan medical records accurately into the appropriate patient charts Verify that scanned documents are legible, complete, and attached to the correct patient chart Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements when handling patient information Organize and manage documents efficiently to support the digitization process Identify and report missing, incomplete, or incorrectly scanned documents Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications Able to work independently and with minimal coaching Accuracy and attention to detail are critical Able to learn and master basic job and computer system functions Basic computer skills and familiarity with typing and data entry Organized and able to manage repetitive tasks efficiently Reliable and dependable Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive medical information Previous medical office or records experience is a plus, but not required Summary As a Digital Scanning Clerk , you will play an integral role in our digitization efforts by ensuring that medical records are accurately scanned, organized, and uploaded into the appropriate patient charts. You will use your computer, typing, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills to maintain high standards of accuracy and data integrity.
