No health insurance or employer-sponsored benefits About the Position Advanced Pulmonary Care is a growing outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine practice in Manchester, CT. We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly organized medical administrative professional to help manage the administrative side of our growing practice. This position is ideal for someone who can work independently and is comfortable handling medical-office tasks with minimal supervision. Primary Responsibilities Medication and diagnostic-test prior authorizations Medication refill requests and pharmacy communication Ordering and coordinating laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic testing Referral processing and communication with referring physician offices Patient scheduling and follow-up Insurance verification and obtaining required information Obtaining outside medical records and test results Processing and following up on medical forms, orders, and documentation Managing incoming/outgoing faxes, scanning, and electronic records Maintaining organized patient charts and administrative workflow Communicating professionally with patients, pharmacies, insurance companies, laboratories, imaging centers, and medical offices Ideal Candidate Previous medical-office experience required Strong experience with prior authorizations, referrals, medication refills, and insurance Excellent organizational and communication skills Comfortable with electronic medical records and computer systems Able to multitask and prioritize independently Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional Understands HIPAA and patient confidentiality Experience in pulmonary, sleep medicine, primary care, internal medicine, cardiology, allergy, or another specialty practice is preferred. Schedule Approximately 16-20 hours per week , with flexible weekday scheduling. The exact schedule can be discussed based on mutual availability.
