Full Job Description Company Description:

PJCox Law P.A. is a small business in Maitland, FL. We are a Florida Workers' Compensation Defense Law Firm with an immediate opening for full-time Legal Medical Records Clerk who is dependable, professional, and offers great attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position. This position is fully in-person and does not offer a remote working option.

Office Hours:

Monday

  • Thursday 8:00 a.m.
  • 5:00 p.m. Friday 8:00 a.m.
  • 3:00 p.

m. Employer paid benefits include health insurance stipend, paid sick and vacation time, holiday pay and 401K with matching up to 4%. This role is responsible for requesting, obtaining, organizing, and tracking medical records from healthcare providers, hospitals, and third-party vendors. This position requires extensive telephone communication, persistent follow-up, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Request and collect medical records from doctors' offices, hospitals, and third-party vendors by using Microsoft Word to prepare correspondence, pleadings and subpoenas Heavy phone usage with consistent follow-up to ensure timely receipt of records Communicate professionally and effectively with medical offices and outside partners Review, understand, sort, and organize medical records accurately Track requests, deadlines, and documentation through completion Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

Strong phone etiquette with excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to follow up persistently and professionally Experience working with medical records or healthcare documentation preferred Ability to understand and organize medical records efficiently Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable collaborating with medical professionals and third-party companies

Pay:
