Bluebird Home Health and Hospice Bluebird Home Health and Hospice is seeking a dependable and friendly Medical Records / Receptionist to join our team. This position supports daily clinical records operations while serving as a welcoming first point of contact for employees, patients, families, vendors, and visitors. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to balance front desk responsibilities with accurate medical records support. Key Responsibilities Greet employees, patients, families, vendors, and guests in a professional and courteous manner. Answer incoming phone calls, assist callers, and route calls to the appropriate team member. Maintain and protect clinical records in accordance with company policies and applicable state and federal requirements. Support daily medical records functions, including organizing, filing, retrieving, auditing, and tracking documentation. Monitor outstanding or unsigned physician orders and follow up as needed. Assist with record requests and ensure information is released only to authorized individuals according to policy. Help maintain accurate clinical records systems and support updates or process improvements as needed. Communicate effectively with clinical, administrative, and leadership team members. Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information at all times. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience in medical records, healthcare administration, reception, or clerical support preferred. Strong customer service, communication, and phone etiquette skills. Ability to multitask in a busy office environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Comfort using office equipment and electronic records or documentation systems. Positive attitude, reliability, flexibility, and willingness to work as part of a team.
