Job Description

Medical Records Support Specialist Liaisons Community Care is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Support Specialist to review and audit client records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and familiar with medical records, behavioral health documentation, or healthcare compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Review and audit electronic medical records for accuracy and completeness Ensure required documentation, signatures, dates, and supporting records are present Identify missing, incomplete, inconsistent, or overdue documentation Monitor records for compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements Communicate documentation concerns and needed corrections to the appropriate staff Track outstanding corrections and follow up to ensure they are completed Maintain organized and confidential client records Assist with preparing records for internal reviews, external audits, and requests Enter, update, scan, and upload documentation into the electronic health record system Protect confidential information and follow HIPAA requirements Complete additional administrative and medical-records duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience with medical records, healthcare administration, quality assurance, auditing, or behavioral health documentation preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to identify documentation errors Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple records, deadlines, and follow-up tasks Comfortable working with electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Knowledge of HIPAA and medical-records requirements preferred Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is thorough, organized, and comfortable reviewing large amounts of documentation. This individual should be able to recognize missing or inaccurate information, communicate concerns professionally, and follow through until corrections are completed.
