Job Description

Description Responsible for collecting, sorting and filing of loose and transcribed reports into medical records. Also responsible for collecting, sorting, logging, and scanning of medical records requested by outside entities. Maintains excel spreadsheets and provides detailed follow-up. Has full access to patient health information.
Shift:
M-F, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Requirements High School Diploma required. Prior experience working in a Medical Record department highly preferred. Excellent computer and typing skills required with proficiency in Windows and Excel. Knowledge of basic office equipment required. Experience with terminal digit filing required. Experience with RAC, Medicaid, CCME and CDS preferred. Ability to read various handwriting, detail oriented, strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Ability to handle stress in a mature and professional manner. Ability to identify problems situations and implement actions for improvement. Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Requires working under moderately stressful conditions and may require working extended or irregular hours. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires normal vision/hearing range. Must be able to distinguish letters and numbers.
