Central Supply & Medical Records Coordinator The Oaks | Zanesville, Ohio Join a Team That Makes a Difference Every Day! The Oaks is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Central Supply & Medical Records Coordinator to join our team. This unique dual-role position is perfect for someone who enjoys keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes while supporting quality resident care. In this role, you'll oversee medical records management, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and ensure clinical departments have the supplies they need to provide exceptional care. Responsibilities Medical Records Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medical records. Process admissions, discharges, transfers, and record requests. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state/federal documentation regulations. Scan, file, organize, and archive resident records. Assist nursing and leadership with record audits and documentation requests. Support survey readiness by maintaining organized and compliant records. Central Supply Order, receive, stock, and distribute medical and nursing supplies. Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate supply par levels. Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies. Track supply usage and assist with cost-control initiatives. Maintain clean, organized storage areas while following infection prevention standards. Ensure emergency and essential supplies are readily available. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in medical records, central supply, healthcare administration, or long-term care preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA and medical record confidentiality requirements. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient with computers and electronic medical record systems. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
