A Day in the Life of a Medical Records Specialist As a Medical Records Specialist / LPN , you will primarily support the agency's clinical and administrative operations by maintaining accurate patient records, processing physician orders, auditing documentation, coordinating billing information, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with scheduling, referrals, and general office support. As needed, you will also provide skilled nursing visits in patients' homes, including treatments, patient education, clinical documentation, and communication with physicians, RNs, and case managers to ensure continuity of care. This position works in a fast-paced office environment and requires excellent phone etiquette, the ability to appropriately triage patient concerns and clinical issues, and strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care and operational excellence. Qualifications Active Oklahoma LPN License Associate degree in a related health or financial field At least 2 years of experience in medical records or healthcare billing Proficiency in Word, Excel, and email Strong organizational and communication skills We're looking for someone who communicates clearly, manages time well, solves problems effectively, and maintains a friendly, professional demeanor.
