Physical Therapy Chattanooga, TN Job Details Full-time 20 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description The Authorizations & Medical Records Specialist manages all authorization and medical record requests across the entire organization. The Authorizations & Medical Records Specialist will also be cross trained in insurance verification and basic Office Coordinator tasks and will provide coverage for these roles as needed. The Authorizations & Medical Records Specialist reports directly to the Director of Administration. Job duties are not limited to, but do include: Tracking, submitting, and following up on all authorization requests for all locations Processing of all incoming medical record requests Assisting with verifying insurance benefits and eligibility for incoming patients Cross training in all daily OC (Office Coordinator) tasks and providing on-site coverage as needed (secondary to the Floating Office Coordinators) Maintaining accurate documentation both within the EHR system as well as internal spreadsheets & files
Qualifications:
Previous medical office, billing, insurance, or healthcare administrative experience is required Intrinsically motivated with problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail, above average organizational skills, and prioritizes accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities Comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with a team Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel experience preferred)
