ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for maintaing clinical records in accordance HIPAA
  • Responsible for faxing or mailing outstanding orders to the physicians for signatures.
  • Responsible for contacting Physician offices and other providers to obtain faxed orders which are signed and complete, from physicians, clinics, and other providers
  • Responsible for retrieving, indexing, categorizing, filing, and attaching electronic Documents using the company's specific classification and organization system in Conjunction with the company's client electronic medical record platforms.
  • Ensures that all clinical records are added to patients chart to facilitate patient care
  • Ensures that all orders are signed uploaded to EMR and complete for billing
  • Responsible for distribution of documents to individuals for review and approval by administrator and /or no clinical employees at the agency.
  • Ensure by audit that Physician signed documents received have valid signature and date prior to attaching to the clients EMR.
  • Ensure all orders received are complete according to CMS standards and guidelines
  • Reviewing files and records to answer requests for information.
  • Maintaining filing systems, compiling records of office activities, photocopying, scanning, faxing, sending emails, preparing and sending outgoing mailings and packages
  • Provide courteous and prompt communication to patient, patient providers and staff members to facilitate effective patient care.
  • Participate in coordination of care with nurse supervisors and patient interdisciplinary team.
  • Respond to the agency and patient needs in a caring, respectful, and ethical manner.
  • Promote Angel Home Healthcare Services philosophy and administrative policies.
  • Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service in all areas.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, associates or bachelor degree preferred
  • Must have prior experience in healthcare intake or insurance pre-authorization
  • Must possess a minimum of one year experience in the medical field, home health or hospice preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent professional communication and organizational skills are essential
  • Must understand the issues related to the delivery of home health services, be able to solve problems effectively, and face challenges with positive outlook
  • Must be able to multitask and must have excellent time management skills

Monday through Friday 8:30 AM
  • 5:00 PM Kinnser Agency Management Software, NPI/PECOS/OIG database, MS Powerpoint, MS Word, Quality Assurance (HIPPA Guideline, Medicare, DADS)
