Job Description
Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our team in the Salt Lake City and surrounding areas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing patient medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong attention to detail and experience in electronic medical record systems. This position will require travel within the Salt Lake City area managing medical chart retrieval for various healthcare clinics and hospitals. $20 per hour Mileage. $.76 per mile
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update patient medical records with precision and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards in record management.
- Utilize electronic medical record systems, including Allscripts and Cerner, to manage and retrieve data.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide timely access to patient information.
- Protect the confidentiality of patient records by adhering to strict privacy policies.
- Perform regular audits to verify the completeness and accuracy of records.
- Assist in transitioning paper records to electronic systems, where applicable.
- Respond to record requests from authorized personnel promptly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot system-related issues to ensure seamless access to medical records. Requirements
- Proven experience in managing medical records within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems such as Allscripts and Cerner.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and patient privacy standards.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with medical and administrative staff.
- Familiarity with auditing processes related to record management.
- Competence in troubleshooting technical issues with record systems.
- Excellent communication skills for handling record requests and inquiries.
