St.Joseph's Hospital South Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily operations and performance of the credentialing and privileging functions for providers across the hospital(s). Ensures all credentialing, privileging, and Continuing Medical Education activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with Joint Commission, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), American Health Care Association (AHCA), State, Federal, Facility Management Association (FMA), Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), and BayCare Health System requirements and actively participates in survey readiness and process. Provides direct leadership to the Medical Staff Services Department team members by monitoring workflow, assigning responsibilities, and working with the BayCare Credentials Verification Office (CVO) by ensuring the timely processing of initial appointments and reappointments of all credentialed providers. Responsible for continuously reviewing team output for quality, identifying training needs, and implementing process improvements to maintain high standards of accuracy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. Collaborates closely with internal departments in collaboration with the hospital Chief Medical Officers and Medical Staff Leadership to support all functions of the department and system initiatives. Identifies operational trends, resolves complex credentialing and privileging issues, prepares for audits and accreditation activities, and contributes to the development of policies, workflows, and quality initiatives. Ensures continual compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and Policy. Required specific skills also includes recognize and analyze medical staff problems and propose sound effective solutions, as well as sensitive to the needs of the public, the medical staff and the hospital. - Bachelor's Healthcare Administration or Related Field Certification Preferred
