- Health Information Manager (HIM) •Day Shift, full-time, 40 hours/week

Pay:

$34-54/hour based on experience Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Coding Manager specializing in Health Information Management to lead our medical coding operations. Responsibilities Oversees HIM operations — coding, CDI, transcription, chart completion, and release of information Collaborates with physicians, coding staff, and CDI specialists to improve DRG accuracy Ensures integrity of the legal medical record and compliance with regulatory requirements Provides strategic leadership supporting hospital and departmental goals Develops, monitors, and manages the departmental budget Supports improvements in case mix index (CMI) and severity of illness/risk of mortality capture Leads staff through hiring, coaching, evaluations, discipline, and professional development Monitors productivity and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement Manages HIM-related Accounts Receivable (AR) Maintains 24-hour accountability for HIM operations, including HIPAA privacy/security compliance Qualifications MUST have acute care coding experience MUST have leadership/management experience Bachelors Degree (preferably in HIM) MUST have
