Job Description

Ocean View Post Acute is looking for a full-time Health Information Assistant. Pay range is $20
  • 24/hr.
depending on experience! Experience highly preferred. Responsibilities:
Create new medical records and retrieves existing medical records by gathering appropriate record folders and contents. Responsible for maintaining the files included in a patient's health information portfolio, including medical history, symptoms, examination results, diagnostic tests, treatment methods, and other services. Responsible to ensure files are accurate, filled out properly, organized, and secure. Code patients' medical information for reimbursement purposes. Review patient records for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Retrieve patient records for healthcare providers and other authorized personnel Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation of patient care Stay updated on industry trends and changes in medical coding and billing regulations
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred Familiarity with medical terminology Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

$20.00
