Medical Records Clerk (82850) Illinois River Correctional Center - Canton, IL 61520 Apply Overview Position Type Full-Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage None Category Administrative & Clerical Apply Description Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Records Clerk to join our team at IL River Correctional Center located in Canton, Illinois. The Medical Records Clerk maintains offender health records, retrieves health records for scheduled appointments, files offender health data, initiates records for new or transferred intakes. They review health records for completeness, files records as required, prepares reports as needed and more. Hourly pay rate of $22.77 Per hour Indmhm Qualifications High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree Certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred but not required Prior experience with medical records and services Completion of a medical terminology course preferred Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
