Wichita, KS Position Summary :
The Medical Records Technician is responsible for maintaining records of patient care by compiling, reviewing and filing documentation of patient's medical history, symptoms, examination results, diagnostic tests, treatment methods and other services.
Position Summary :
Release medical reports, records, patient care information, and practice / administration material according to state regulations. Verify charts for mistakes and inconsistencies. Obtain accurate information from the appropriate source and making the correct adjustments. Plan, develop and maintain medical charts and data, including patient history, physical exams, chart reviews, and any other essential patient information into the patient charts. Protect the security of medical records to ensure the confidentiality is maintained. Review records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with regulations. Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications :
2-3 years' experience in medical field Must be familiar with medical terminology, procedures, abbreviations, etc… Strong record keeping and organization skills
