Full Time. Days. Full Benefits. Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Health Records Technician We're looking for individuals with a positive attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum high school diploma, with medical terminology knowledge
Preferred:
Graduate of Accredited Health Information Program with completed RHIT certification or pending certification within 18 months of hire. Working knowledge of Release of information processes and HIPAA privacy regulations. Preferred experience EPIC user One or more years of experience in association with health information release procedures. Working knowledge of word and excel, EPIC software. Ability to work independently on assignments or with a group when needed. Excellent customer service and phone skills with ability to work with the public, carious departments and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary purpose of the position as Health Records Technician is to perform record processing and analysis, data retrieval, health information release and various administrative duties in an efficient, accurate manner in accordance with established procedures, as directed by your supervisor to assure that a complete medical record program is maintained, and patient information is kept protected and secure.
