Job Summary:
The Office Specialist, under the direction of the Office Coordinator, provides general office and secretarial support to effect an efficient flow of work through the department.
Minimum Requirements:
High school graduate with a two-year degree in Medical Secretarial Science. Good working knowledge of various computer, facsimile machine, copiers, etc. Medical office experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
