Currently, training, quality assurance, and protocol implementation are managed independently at each office, resulting in inconsistent processes and support. The Public Health Specialty Clerk was created to standardize clerical functions, enhance training and competency development, support documentation accuracy, and ensure all offices are operating in compliance with state and regional expectations. This position also provides critical coverage during staff absences, ensuring that public health offices can continue to deliver uninterrupted care and services to the communities they serve. Support onboarding of new clerical team members and offer hands-on assistance as needed. Quality Assurance and Auditing Conduct routine chart audits and administrative reviews to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with clerical and programmatic standards. Identify areas for improvement and support corrective action or retraining. Protocol and Process Implementation Assist with implementing updated policies, procedures, and documentation protocols across offices. Ensure consistent use of forms, intake processes, billing procedures, and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Cross-Office Coordination Collaborate with Nurse Supervisors, regional leadership, and program leads to maintain alignment across offices. Support preparation for site reviews, program audits, and state reporting by ensuring clerical documentation is complete and accurate.
