Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate medical records, ensure compliance with health information management standards, and support the seamless operation of electronic health records (EHR) systems. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of healthcare privacy protection, regulatory compliance, and data integrity, contributing to exceptional patient care and efficient revenue cycle management. Duties Organize, review, and update patient medical records in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies and health regulation policies Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR) to ensure accurate documentation and easy retrieval of patient information Assist healthcare providers with medical coding to facilitate billing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle management processes Ensure compliance with health information regulatory standards by conducting regular audits and maintaining detailed records management logs Support medical office staff by providing excellent customer service and responding to inquiries related to health information requests Maintain strict adherence to healthcare privacy protection laws by safeguarding patient data at all times Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure proper documentation of medical terminology, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans Requirements Proven experience in medical office settings or health information management roles Strong knowledge of healthcare privacy laws, clinical confidentiality policies, and health regulation policies Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and correspondence Familiarity with EHR systems and EMR/EHR management tools used in healthcare environments Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding practices, and records management procedures Understanding of revenue cycle management processes within healthcare organizations Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping Join us as a Health Information Technician where your expertise will directly impact the quality of patient care through precise data management.
